WHAT IS IT: A mobile phone message board application that allows neighbors to discover and communicate with each other and form groups around specific areas interest that could be dependent on physical proximity.

Closed door are not neccesarily locked doors shutting people out. Sometimes they want to be opened. How do we signal being "online" or available in physical space? What kinds of interaction can be facilitated by physical proximity among people who don't necessarily know each other well?

Application can be downloaded upon inputing your specific address, apartment number and name.

Main message board can be accessed from the application.

Groups could develop among shared interests (parents, interests, etc) And users would be able to check messages from their specific groups.

Users can easily post messages that are either general or directed toward a specific group.

A member of a group may have an immediate need (i.e. "I have an emergency can anyone watch my child") or want immediate feedback ("Does anyone have some milk I can borrow?"). These messages are sent as text messages to every group member's phone. Sometimes, a member may not want this. The application would allow user's to set their availability. Not available would turn off the text messaging feature.
